为加强合作学习,建立可行制度,将中外教师纳入实践性专业学习工作组,吉林大学莱姆顿学院于2018年10月26日举行了第七次专业学习共同体(PLC)会议,本土教师以及来自加拿大、爱尔兰、摩尔多瓦、菲律宾、波兰、俄罗斯、英国、美国和乌克兰的国际教师出席了本次会议。在本次PLC会议上,吉林大学莱姆顿学院的一位国际教师与同事们分享了他的课堂实践。EFL教学部外教组长Arnel E.Genzola博士,谈到了“EFL教学中的学生参与度和技术整合”问题。莱姆顿学院的PLC会议每月在学院会议室举行。第八次PLC会议定于11月23日举行。

       希望这一长期倡议能够使当地教师和国际教师展开合作,继续探讨不同的教学方法与战略,在莱姆顿学院这样的中外高等教育联合机构所创建的多元文化学习环境中改进教学实践,提高学生学习能力。

       To foster collaborative learning and facilitate a viable system of bringing Chinese and foreign teachers into working groups of practice-based professional learning, Jilin UniversityLambton College (JULC) held its Seventh JULC Professional Learning Community (PLC) Session attended by both local and international faculty members from Canada, Ireland, Moldova, Philippines, Poland, Russia, UK, USA, and Ukraine today October 26, 2018. For this Seventh PLC session, one of JULCs international faculty members shared his classroom practices with colleagues. Dr. Arnel E. Genzola, the international faculty at the helm of the EFL Department, talked about Student Engagement and Technology Integration in EFL Teaching. JULCs PLC session is held monthly at the JULC conference room. The eight PLC Session is set on November 23. 

       It is hoped that this initiative in the long run will enable teachers, local and foreign alike, to forge cooperation and collaboration in engaging with colleagues in the ongoing exploration of various ways and strategies in improving teaching practice and student learning in a multi-cultural learning environment such as JULC being one of the Chinese-Foreign joint institutions of higher learning.
